The presence of large numbers of people working and visiting the area, due to the strong cultural, religious and retail uses coupled with the city centre location of the block, gives the site great potential for redevelopment.

Our approach to the regeneration of this very important site is to retain the significant buildings, the principle street patterns and the inherent character of the area. We propose to build on this framework to create a high quality, desirable, modern urban space but one that respects the design principles of former years.
